Announcing the 2016 NAUI Board of Directors Election Results
NAUI Worldwide remains a true membership association. Our standards, policies, and ethics are governed by the Association’s Board of Directors, members themselves, who are elected through a democratic election process – each eligible member gets a vote in his/her association.
A total of 7,968 NAUI members were eligible to vote in the 2016 Board of Directors Election. A total of 913 members cast ballots. The results are detailed below.
This year, voting was again performed online. Paper ballots were available upon request. The third party host website Votenet (eBallot) was prepared with the candidates’ information, biosketch, and answers to common questions posed to the candidates. During the voting period, members accessed an eBallot through Votenet to cast their votes, resulting in the following:
Congratulations to our new Board Members David Ochs, Lonnie Sharp and Gary Kulisek! David Ochs and Lonnie Sharp will be seated for four-year terms and Gary Kulisek will be seated for the remaining one year of a four-year term due to a resignation late last year. The newly elected will take office in January 2017. We thank those elected and all candidates for their service and dedication to the success of NAUI Worldwide and its members.
