I began my trek of the vast underwater world in February of 2012 when my wife suggested that I become a certified open water diver through NAUI. At that time I had no idea how much of a life changing event this would be. I remained an active diver in my off time as I attended additional NAUI courses to further educate myself until eventually reaching the level of divemaster. At that time I began to explore our Florida cave systems as I attained several certifications in technical diving. I have also attended many other specialized training courses through other certifying agencies such as TDI, WMD Tech, Dive Lab Panama City, Department of Homeland Security, NAPD, and ERDI. In addition to the above mentioned items, I have maintained an active status as a public safety diver since April of 2012 and since returned to NAUI where I completed my general instructor rating. I have completed a few technical instructor ratings for select courses in addition to successfully completing the instructor cross-over for ERDI. I maintain an on-going training status through equipment technician courses and other dive related educational classes for both diver and instructor development purposes. On a weekly basis I handle gear and equipment maintenance along with the logistics for dive missions and deployments. I also support our training division by writing curriculum to provide a safe and effective learning environment for our newer divers to excel in their diving capabilities.
