This program is designed for experienced scuba instructors from other recognized agencies who wish to join the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) — the world’s leading educator in “Dive Safety Through Education.”
During the NAUI Instructor Crossover, candidates will be introduced to the NAUI philosophy, standards, and educational system that emphasizes academic integrity, diver safety, and instructor autonomy. Participants can expect a blend of classroom sessions, in-water evaluations, and discussions that highlight NAUI’s approach to performance-based education. Candidates will demonstrate their teaching, leadership, and watermanship skills while learning how to effectively integrate NAUI’s unique training methods and materials into their existing programs. Upon successful completion, participants earn NAUI Instructor status and gain access to NAUI’s worldwide network, resources, and support for professional growth. This crossover is ideal for instructors who value flexibility, high standards, and a true educator-driven system of diver training.
