"[We] had an individual (25 years old) collapse after an in-water activity wearing a 3-mm wetsuit (not scuba diving). He was non-responsive, had no pulse and was not breathing.  Co-workers began breaths and compressions and went for O2 and AED. After they delivered AED shock (wetsuit cut) and a few compressions, the patient reacted and was conscious and showed signs of shock. He was monitored and cared for until the ambulance showed up.  I wanted to share this story as each of the staff members were NAUI First Aid – Powered by DAN – DFA Pro trained. I feel blessed to have been the one to administer out most recent CPR training course and the first to implement NAUI/DAN – DFA Pro for this group.  I want to thank Jim Gunderson and Terrence Tysall, of NAUI Headquarters, for the workshop they performed at DEMA last year that improved my teaching methods."
