Technical Instructor Workshop
International workshop for NAUI technical instructors will be held in Šimuni on the island of Pag, Croatia from 24th to 28th September 2021.
The aim of the workshop is to bring together NAUI technical instructors from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Romania. It will be an opportunity to get to know not only new divers, but perhaps new interesting sites or projects of other NAUI instructors or NAUI divecenters within Central Europe.
The event will be attended by Vedran Dorusic, Croatia, NAUI CDT & TIE, Petr Rehak, Czechia, NAUI CDT & TIE, Frantisek Ondrus, Slovakia, NAUI CD & TIE and Cristian Irimies, Romania, NAUI Technical Instructor.
The agenda will include changes in the structure of NAUI technical courses, the new dive planning system and other updates. Lectures on CCR diving, DPV and more are on the agenda.
As this is an official technical workshop, it is possible for existing instructors to extend their credentials to teach technical diving courses.
The workshop is not limited to instructors only, anyone who is interested can attend, meaning you can also attend with your students, ideally if they are interested in the particular course you would like to include in your teaching portfolio. However, this is not a requirement at all, feel free to come just to dive in and meet new colleagues.
The FOKA Dive centre base is right on the coast and has created a perfect polygon of wrecks, also accessible from the shore, where you can practice wreck diving or some skills for technical diving in general. Near the base there is a unique, recently discovered ancient shipwreck with a cargo of amphoras.
Individual courses will be completed in Trimix Diver Level I and Wreck Penetration Diver.
