About The Event

The Florida Public Archaeology Network, Florida Bureau of Archaeological Research, and the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary are pleased to present the next Heritage Awareness Diving Seminar (HADS).

HADS is planned for May 23-25, 2023, and will be held at the Mote Marine Elizabeth Moore International Center for Coral Reef Research and Restoration in Summerland Key, Florida. This year, we are pleased to offer both an in-person and virtual attendance option via Zoom. The HADS classroom sessions will take place over two evenings from 5:00-8:00pm on May 23 and 24. For in-person attendees, one morning of diving (included with registration) will take place on May 25 to reinforce classroom learning. During HADS, participants will receive all information and materials needed to complete the HADS Specialty Instructor certification.
