My NAUI Bio
Started diving in 1974 with NAUI certification from University of New Brunswick Scuba Club. Dove with Fisheries the summers of 1974 and 1975. Moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1978 and became active in the Nova Scotia Underwater Council. Organized two Sea Hunts (dive contests -- over 200 participants), two scuba expositions (mini-DEMA) and one Interprovincial Scuba Jamboree. During this time I continued scuba education taking Equipment, Advanced, Rescue, Deep, Wreck, Night, Photography, Oxygen Provider, PADI Dive Master, NAUI Dive Master, NASDS Dive Master, and SSI DiveCon training. Started assisting with scuba classes at CFB Shearwater in 1992 and became a NAUI Instructor in 1994. Took Instructor Trainer course in Toronto in 1995 or 1996. Still teaching at Shearwater and infrequently conduct classes elsewhere in Nova Scotia and Ontario. Retired from Criminal Investigations, Canada Border Services in April 2010.
