I signed up for lesson through Oak Hill Scuba in Austin, Texas. I was extremely lucky to have Randy Beckmann as my instructor. Randy was so patient with me. With his gentle attitude, vast knowledge of SCUBA and unlimited patience, I was able to breeze through my basic scuba class. Even though Randy has been diving for over 50 years, he still seems to be excited about the sport and eager to share that excitement with others. I was hooked. I advanced through Advanced Scuba, Rescue, First Aid, Nitrox, Master Diver and Divemaster in just under two years. I have logged almost 200 dives since my beginning in August 2010. I am now a NAUI SCUBA Instructor. Randy was my instructor through all the courses I took and has taught me well.
