My NAUI Bio
Inspired by TV shows like 'Sea Hunt' and 'The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau’, my first certification was through NAUI in 1976 in Southern California. I immediately fell in-love with diving and the underwater world. I have been diving in several parts of the world, but Southern California's Channel Islands are still my favorite place to dive. There is nothing like diving the magnificent kelp beds of Southern California! I have been diving the past 35+ years.
I am a retired Fire Captain/Public Safety Diver. During the last 8 years of my 32 year career in the Fire Department, I served as the Dive Rescue Team Leader managing policies and procedures, training, equipment, budget, and overseeing 21 rescue divers.
I specialize in training Public Safety Divers in all levels from: SCUBA Diver & Advanced SCUBA Diver to Underwater Search, Rescue, Recovery, use of Full-Face Masks and Underwater Voice Communications, 'Altitude Diver', and NAUI's Assistant Instructor and Divemaster programs.
I am based in Ventura, California, but travel extensively to train Public Safety Divers. Please visit my website: www.DIVE-SAR.com
Let me know if I can help you start, or further, your SCUBA Diver training following NAUI's strong tradition of "Dive Safety Through Education."
All of my contact information is at: www.DIVE-SAR.com
I hope to see you underwater!
