We CAN make a difference by working together!

The NAUI Green Diver Initiative is an on-line community of individuals working together to make a significant difference in the preservation, conservation and protection of our aquatic environment. Individual GDI members may be avid divers, environmental activists or just beach walkers, but they share a common concern for the vitality of the aquatic world.
As the official dive training agency of the Walt Disney World Resort Company, we also present the following Programs at Walt Disney World in Orlando: Dolphins in Depth, Aqua Tours, Dive Quest (The Seas at Epcot) and the Adopt-a-Turtle Program (Walt Disney World Vero Beach Resort). Before, during and after these experiences – guests learn about how the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund is making a difference.

After hearing how much work is being accomplished by the DWCF and how much work is still left to be done, guests often want to know how they can help in their communities. This is why the NAUI Green Diver Initiative started.

Did You Know?

We use over 80,000,000,000 aluminum soda cans every year.

If every American household recycled one out of every ten HDPE (high density polyethylene) bottles, this would keep 200 million pounds of plastic out of landfills every year.

Used aluminum beverage cans are the most recycled item in the U.S., but other types of aluminum, such as siding, gutters, car components, storm window frames, and lawn furniture can also be recycled.
